Going Deeper w/ Pastor Fran Leeman!

Fran Leeman is the founding pastor of LifeSpring Church in Plainfield, Illinois.  Along with his wife, Linda, and a few good friends, he has led this church for over 30 years.  Fran is also the founder of New Life for Haiti.  Fran's book, The Everybody Gospel, chronicles his journey from a conservative evangelical mindset to embracing a bigger and more beautiful God, a richer understanding of the gospel, and those in the LGBTQ community.

 

In today's episode we go deeper into the journey of Pastor Fran and the congregation of LifeSpring Church as they thoughtfully and prayerfully dug deep into the clobber verses in the Bible to see Jesus in those sacred scriptures that seemed to exclude the LGBTG community. Pastor Fran's book, The Everybody Gospel is an account of their brave journey to step out of what they had been taught and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through the scriptures resulting in choosing inclusion of all God's children into their church.
